PRAYER TEAM - PRAYER WARRIORS NEEDED!!! Last year our amazing conference prayer team laid the foundation of prayer, turned the wheels of intercession, engaged everyone in ongoing prayer for the conference by sending out prayer points via email every week, and kept the conference covered in prayer as it was happening! This committee will:
Coordinate times and dates to pray-pare for the conference
Communicate weekly prayer points with our ISMNZ community (through our Communications Manager) to engage everyone in praying for Vision 20/20 2018
Work with Planning Team to ensure space and times set aside for praying during the conference
Take the lead in any other area involving prayer for Vision 20/20!!
PRAISE & WORSHIP PLANNING & TEAM Work as a team and with Worship Coordinator(s) to:
Recruit team members from amongst students/alumni/workers/volunteers and even our church partners (even an awesome worship pastor if you know any)…
Develop team and song rosters that flow with the conference theme
Organise who will take the lead on individual sessions
Spend time pre-conference connecting (via SKYPE?) and having prayer time.
CHILDREN’S PROGRAMME TEAM Work together to plan for Children’s programme in:
Recruiting helpers to share the joy and heavy lifting
Planning the activities and sessions in coordination with the wider conference
Communicating to logistics coordinator what is needed (crafts, snacks, audio/visual, whiteboards, etc.) and for any reimbursements.
At Keswick we are blessed to have use of the Kitchenette building for the kids programme. It’s a great space with full kitchen and all the room you need for an energetic kids programme.
FAITH AND PASTORAL CARE RESPONSE TEAM As the Gospel goes forth and Jesus’ love touches lives, we need to be ready to give an answer for the hope that we have. After all, Jesus didn’t say to “GO and convert all nations”… He said, “GO and disciple all nations…”
We need a team of ‘discerning’ people to keep an eye out for those people who are touched by God over the weekend. That means sometimes you’ll stay up later than you planned, or end up not having a little rest break during the afternoon because God is at work 24/7. We can provide space, but Keswick is big enough that you can always find a place for privacy.
So, if you overflow with the gift of evangelism and can sense the movement of the Holy Spirit; or if you just can’t help being that “go to” person who can answer questions; or if your mercy and compassion have you sensing the need to pray and care, then this is the team for you!
SuperTECH TEAM – TECHNICAL, A/V SUPPORT
Work with the Logistics Coordinator to ensure all equipment and accessories needed for each workshop, main sessions, activities, culture night are arranged
Recruiting others to be a part of the Super-techs team
Work with the Culture Carol Sing Night coordinator in pulling together all files needed to create an ‘order of service’ for the programme. This will require multiple laptop ‘stations’ to use to help coordinate each group's performance
Develop a roster amongst the SuperTech team to cover each session/workshop as needed.
Anything else you can think of!
GRAPHICS, DESIGN, VIDEOGRAPHY AND PHOTOGRAPHY WHO LOVES TO CREATE FUN VIDEOS? WHO LOVES PHOTOGRAPHY? WHO LOVES DESIGNING POSTERS AND BANNERS AND ALL THINGS RELATED (Background templates, flyers, etc.)? If you or anyone you know comes to mind please let us know. It would be great to bring some of this kind of talent on-board!
ACTIVITIES & TEAMBUILDING COORDINATORS
Plan and lead Opening Night Session Team Meet & Greet Ice Breaker
Coordinate with teams for main team competition (held Sat afternoon from 1.15pm – 4pm)
CREATIVE & DÉCOR TEAM This year's Mid-Winter's Christmas theme brings with it much opportunity for those who are creative and love to decorate. In addition, Reflection Night also needs a team of people to remain behind on Saturday afternoon (their own 'team building' activity) and decorate the main hall for the evening events.
This team needs extra help with:
Helping set up the ‘space' at the conference
Working with the coordinators to bring various items to enhance the décor in the space(s) we use.
We also need "muscle" and handy craftspeople for some of the more heavy lifting (and a well-equipped tool box).
CANDLELIGHT CHRISTMAS CULTURE NIGHT COMMITTEE!
This year we will be celebrating Christmas by singing Christmas Carols from the nations.
Committee members will help organise "on the spot" the roster of performances, assisting the SuperTech team in gathering the media files, working with each group to ensure they have the space and items they need for their allotted time, and choosing from the amongst the team who will MC and run things during the night.
You can also think of 'décor' and consider how that can enhance the programme.
HEALTH & SAFETY LEADERS Will need 'point people' to help with health and safety needs:
If someone is sick or injured
Transportation roster for travel to/from conference as well as to/from activities off-site.
In case of fire/natural disaster people work with RA’s to ensure proper evacuation.
RESIDENCE ASSISTANTS This year we hope to have two "RA’s" for each area: Lodge, Villas, Cabins, Units (so eight in total). This is to meet Health & Safety Requirements. RA’s are mainly responsible to:
Be available to answer questions from guests in your area
Communicate to Keswick Camp Host with any maintenance concerns
Keep the record of people in assigned area (provided by Logistics Coordinator) in case of emergency
Be helpful and patient if there are complaints or requests to be moved (can work with Logistics Coordinator on this).
THE A-TEAM!! LOGISTICS & ADMIN
Work with Logistics Coordinator as needed to handle pre-conference printing and communications.
Onsite Pre-conference Logistics: 4-6 July @ Keswick.
Includes lots of admin, set up, helping with opening day registration & fun (accommodation & transport provided):
This year we have a "hospitality flat" that will double as our conference administrative office
This team will take turns to assist in helping leaders with their admin needs throughout the conference.
