GET INVOLVED

"The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few." Thankfully, ISMNZ workers are not alone in the field. We partner with churches and organisations to provide care and discipleship to international students.

opportunities to serve

Ways you can be involved:

Accomplishing the vision of helping international students becoming lifelong followers of Jesus Christ requires time spent with the students, helping, encouraging, and training them. There are several ways you can be involved with this ministry. If you are interested in being a part of the ISMNZ team whether through prayer, volunteering, joining staff and/or contributing financially, please get in touch through our contact form.
ISMNZ WORKERS
We want to have prayerful skilled teams introducing students to Jesus, maturing disciples and equipping them to be life-long followers of Jesus. There are opportunities on campuses throughout New Zealand to join one of our local teams.

We are a faith mission with each ISMNZ Worker (individual or couple) responsible for establishing their own financial support. Many are bi-vocational with other employment; however those who are full time or part time look to God to meet their financial needs by donations from interested friends, churches, or trusts.

VOLUNTEERS
ISMNZ values those who want to help. We need individuals and church ministries to join us in ministry to international students.

We appreciate those who are available to be a friend to a new international student and help them get settled in New Zealand. It's also great to have keen hearts who help us with organising activities, offering accommodation, providing hospitality, donating furniture, and any practical assistance.

There are also opportunities for people to train with us for cross-cultural work and to serve alongside our workers as ISMNZ Volunteers. A great way to step into serving international students is by providing help with their English comprehension and conversation. ISMNZ has several programmes throughout New Zealand that you can be a part of.

PRAYER PARTNERSHIP
ISMNZ is dependent on God’s blessing made possible by prevailing prayer! We are seeking Prayer Partners to faithfully participate in our ministry amongst international students in New Zealand by praying:
  • for God to make Himself known
  • for the international students along their journey in New Zealand
  • for our workers
  • for the continuing and sometimes urgent needs of the ministry
If you are keen to receive our prayer letter highlighting specific requests and praise for what the Lord is doing amongst international students in New Zealand and their ongoing impact around the world, sign up here:
