Volunteering with ISMNZ

Volunteers are very important to all parts of the effective operation of ISMNZ. This includes the Board, administrative work, relationship building with International students, leading Bible study groups and hospitality. We appreciate your willingness to serve the Lord as a volunteer.

We require every volunteer: 

  1. To complete this registration form

  2. To read and comply with the code of conduct below

  3. To provide the names of two referees, at least one of whom should be an ISMNZ worker, pastor or elder at your church

  4. To agree to a reference/ police check as part of our screening process where required. A police check will be taken for all fieldwork volunteers.

Code of Conduct

This code of conduct serves to clarify the expectations ISMNZ has for volunteer behaviour and conduct towards everyone involved in the ministry at all times.

 

We expect all volunteers to abide by this code of conduct at all times and in all dealings with the people involved in the ministry. Please remember that we are serving students from a variety of cultures. What might be deemed acceptable in one culture could well be perceived negatively in another. The onus and responsibility is always on the volunteers to behave appropriately.
